This is one of the only places for breakfast open on Monday. My waitress is always polite and they serve a good breakfast!

I tried so many times because the place is nice and staff are so pleasant but i can not give my money away. One time they had ran out of chicken at lunch time .thats when you send someone shopping !!!!!!!.breakfast home fries tasted old !!!!!!!!!! One time they forgotten my toast!!!!!!!! They brang my coffee to me when i was finished eating !!!!!!!! Sorry guys such nice people but get it together

The only reason for the 2 stars is because the staff is really nice...but that's where it ends. They need to have a better system for seating and maybe a few more staff during high traffic periods. We were seated right away, which was great, but service declined rapidly. We waited forever to get menus, water, our order to be taken and even longer for the food to arrive. The food was decent but not worth another trip.

Owner is rude. I will find another place to spend my money. Who tells paying customers they don't have time to take order to go,or how you can have your food cooked and be extremely rude did I mention! Unfortunately the wait staff so great and friendly, but I'm not only one who's heard from other customers in there getting upset over owners attitude! In this business of food, not everyone is going to want their food just the way you think it should be. What a shame. Just lost a great tipping, loyal paying local customers who spent a lot of money there every weekend and week day morning. I won't be back. Think I'll try another diner to see if they appreciate the customer who pays,tips 25 to 35 % ,and supports local small business owners!

Had breakfast here again its always ok nothing outstanding breakfast consisted of eggs hashbrowns and bacon, I had no coffee honestly I bring my own and it cost me $9.48, I just can't get over paying that price, for an average average breakfast. Service was good

Not bad ! Second day open. Owner came by checked in on us. Waitstaff very nice. We tried a little bit of everything. Home fries could use a little more flavor. Eggs good pancakes were good, western omelette was good but would have liked less onion. Biscuit and gravy awesome ! My son loved them. Overall give me a try !!

I was really unhappy with how long it took to order, let alone eat. Took nearly 15 minutes just to order and another 25 minutes minimum to get out food. My husband said his was ok but the omelette I got was just odd. I got "The Gatlin" and it had everything just rolled in the omelette, not cooked. Nothing like raw veggies in your omelette. The waitress never checked on us or cleared our table and the kitchen was yelling something about "it's just one meal out of their day, not like it's cancer!" Found the place rude, slow and not worth the price at all.

The service here was awful. They sat us in a booth and then we never saw anybody after that. And it wasn't like the server didn't know we were there because she brought food to the table right next to us. After 10 minutes we just got up and left. Both the hostess and the server saw us leaving and didn't say anything to us. Also, the restaurant smelled really bad. My family was so upset at the treatment. Definitely do not recommend.

Have tried this place about 5x too many, but never again. Omelettes are meant to be fluffy and have cooked veggies. Many times I've ordered the Western and asked for cheese to be added and about 3x they forgot to add it. The veggies are always too crunchy and not enough and the omelette is a flat thin egg. Have also ordered the biscuits and gravy and although they were good we could have done without the piece of plastic wrapping we found in the gravy while chewing. Fill coffee cups plenty but do not ask to refill coke often, have to flag them down. Ordered a cheeseburger for lunch and the burger and cheese could not be seen on the Kaiser roll even after I put all the toppings on it. Not impressed. Service is not fantastic, get an odd vibe and feel strange having to ask for something extra, kind of like you are asking for something you shouldn't even though anywhere else would be fine, such as butter or strawberry jelly or more coke. We're done at the Gatlin Diner.

Waitress was great. Waited close to an hour for our food and even longer for a grilled cheese sandwich for my granddaughter. Brought out super hot fries for a kids plate. Food was plane nothing special about it. Will not come back

Mel's Diner in St Lucie West moved to this location and changed the name to Gatlin Diner. Mel's was very good and this is even better because it has the same great food and service but can seat a lot more people. Excellent place for breakfast or lunch.

I am compelled to warn to citizens of Port St Lucie to steer clear of this establishment. We were just there for breakfast and waited well over an hour for breakfast (which was mediocre AT BEST)! Their prices are ridiculously high for the quality and quantity of food. And if I'm going to be waiting over an hour for my food, the least they can do is NOT serve frozen Ore-Ida like home fries. The corned beef hash ($4.00 for a side) barely filling a saucer, tasted like is was left over from yesterday's breakfast! I am a firm believer in supporting our local businesses and not going to Jensen or Stuart, but if this is the type of garbage that will be opening, I will spend a little more on gas to be satisfied. I don't give this place 6 months!!!
